Who We Are
A global team of Nigerian women, united by justice, equity, and a deep love for our girls.
KARO OMU, Founder
London, United Kingdom
Karo Omu believes that a girl who can manage her period can stay in school, and a girl who stays in school can change her world.
She is the founder of Sanitary Aid Nigeria (SANG), a menstrual equity initiative working to end period poverty for girls and women across Nigeria. For Karo, menstrual health has never been just a hygiene issue. It is an education issue, a dignity issue, and an opportunity issue. She has built SANG around that conviction.
Tolani Thomas-Allinson, Director of Fundraising
London, United Kingdom
Tolani Thomas believes that no girl's education, confidence, or future should be limited by something as basic as access to a pad.
As Director of Fundraising, she leads efforts to secure the resources that make the organisation's mission possible — ensuring girls across Nigeria have access to the menstrual health products they need to stay in school and thrive.
Tosin Dada-Phillips, director of Partnerships
Lagos, Nigeria
Tosin Dada-Phillips believes that every girl deserves the dignity, confidence, and opportunity to thrive.
She supports fundraising, partnerships, and growth initiatives that expand access to menstrual health education and affordable products for girls and women across Nigeria. For Tosin, this work is personal: she is passionate about dismantling the silence around menstruation, increasing access to sustainable solutions, and making sure period poverty is never the reason a girl falls behind.
Alexa Chukwumah, director of communications
Philadelphia, United States
Alexa Chukwumah believes that the right story, told well, can move people to act, and that Nigerian girls deserve to have their stories told with power and dignity.
As Director of Communications, she shapes how the world understands and connects with the organisation's mission. From the website to campaigns to donor communications, She ensures that every word reflects the urgency, heart, and ambition behind the work of getting menstrual health products into the hands of girls across Nigeria.
